A Bigger Splash - BBC Two - 11.15pm
Our pick for tonight begins with world-famous rocker Marianne Lane (Tilda Swinton) and her filmmaker boyfriend, Paul (Matthias Schoenaerts), relaxing on a small Italian island while she recovers from throat surgery.
However, their peace is quickly interrupted by the surprise arrival of Marianne's extroverted ex-boyfriend and musical producer, Harry (a scene-stealing Ralph Fiennes), and his mysterious and glamorous daughter, Pen (Dakota Johnson).
Directed by Luca Guadagnino (Bones and All, Call Me By Your Name), what begins as a romantic comedy about beautiful people hanging out in gorgeous Italian locales gradually simmers into something darker and weirder.
Letting Harry and Pen stay with them, Marianne and Paul's villa eventually becomes a hotbed of desire and jealousy as it becomes clear Harry has never gotten over his and Marianne's break-up.
The Quiet Ones - Turner Classic Movies - 11.35pm
An early role for House of the Dragon's Olivia Cooke, she plays a teenager who may be possessed by something supernatural in this '70s set chiller.
