Looking to curl up on the sofa this evening with a good movie?

Well, Amazon Prime Video has just added 10 big movies to its library, which you can read about here.

However, if none of these suit you, these are the film options on telly this Wednesday night (28 September).

Hellraiser – Horror Xtra – 9pm

Our pick for this evening, this ’80s horror follows a dysfunctional family as they are subjected to various horrors after one of them opens a mystical puzzle box that summons extra-dimensional, sadomasochistic beings.

The directorial debut of author Clive Barker, Hellraiser is a twisted, blackly comic tale about the lengths people will go to for carnal pleasure and marked the onscreen introduction of the iconic villain Pinhead (pictured above).

For more on Hellraiser, you can check out JOE’s recent retrospective article on the film to mark it turning 35 years old here.

Ad Astra – Film4 – 9pm

Brad Pitt plays a sad astronaut who travels to the edge of the solar system in order to both save the world and work out unresolved familial trauma in this gorgeous, meditative sci-fi.

Lethal Weapon 2 – Turner Classic Movies – 9pm

Danny Glover and Mel Gibson return in this hit buddy cop sequel.

Honeymoon – Horror Xtra – 10.55pm

In this very creepy 2014 horror, a newlywed couple’s honeymoon in a secluded forest takes a dark turn.
