The Day After Tomorrow - FilmFour - 6.40pm

Big bad weather is coming in real life, but at least its not quite as bad as it is in this movie.

The Expendables 2 - Sky Showcase - 9pm

With the fourth of these about to arrive in cinemas, you can re-watch what is arguably the best of the existing three, which added Jean-Claude Van Damme as the brilliantly named bad guy Jean Vilain.

xXx - FilmFour - 9pm

Vin Diesel uses xXxtreme sportz to be the best secret agent in the world. A truly ridiculous movie, but not without its moments of entertainment.

Rocky Balboa - ITV4 - 9pm

The one where Rocky is too old to fight in real life, so he fights ... in a video game? But then also fights in real life? Its actually pretty good, tbh.

Terrifier

One of the victims in Terrifier, our big pick of the flicks for tonight

Rush - TG4 - 9.30pm

Chris Hemsworth and Daniel Bruhl star in this decent portrayal of the extreme rivalry between James Hunt and Niki Lauda, two of the best ever Formula One racers.

Rambo - ITV4 - 11.10pm

Another "this is better than it has any right to be" entry in the "Stallone is getting too old for this shit" subgenre on the telly tonight. This is the one where he single-handedly decimates the population of Burma.

What Ever Happened To Baby Jane - BBC Two - 11.15pm

The classic psychological thriller featuring Bette Davis and Joan Crawford delivering two of the greatest performances in cinematic history. A must-watch for film lovers.

Terrifier - Legend - 2.35am

Our main pick for the night is Terrifier, the story of a killer clown who targets a particular Halloween party. The sequel arrived in cinemas last year and made headlines when people were passing out and throwing up in the cinema, but the original is just as shockingly violent. So if you're in the mood for a truly disturbing movie tonight, then this could be the one for you!
