A new comedy that’s been described as “thrilling and surprising” is coming to Netflix this week

JOE

One to watch this weekend.

Netflix has produced some great original films in its time including Beasts of No Nation and The Fundamentals of caring and this Friday, they add to their original collection with Joe Swanberg’s Win It All.

The comedy follows Eddie Garret (played by Jake Johnson of New Girl) as he minds a bag loaded with cash for his prison bound friend and proceeds to gamble the money away.

Eddie finds love along the way, but with his friend being granted an early release from prison, he must find a way to conjure up the thousands of dollars he has spent.

Directed by Joe Swanberg, the creator of critically acclaimed Netflix series Easy, the film has been described as “genuinely appealing”.

Salon described the ending of the film as “thrilling and surprising” and made comparisons between Win It All and the 1998 film Rounders, starring Matt Damon.

The Hollywood Reporter, meanwhile, described Swanberg’s low budget flick as “genuinely appealing”.

Be sure to watch the trailer below and then wait patiently until after work on Friday to give it a watch.
