The Oasis tour announcement is coming on Monday and Irish fans are watching Slane

The latest Oasis teaser has fans counting down to Monday

Slane Castle has been at the centre of speculation for weeks, with a leaked touring schedule claiming Oasis could play five shows at the Co Meath venue in August 2027. 

Several outlets have reported on the alleged dates, although there is still no confirmation from either Oasis or Slane that the concerts are happening.

The latest clue came from Manchester on Thursday night, when a drone show above the Joie Stadium displayed the Oasis logo before revealing the date “14.09.26” and the time “4PM BST”. Fans can therefore expect to hear the band’s next announcement at 4pm Irish time on Monday.

The display comes amid growing talk of a major 2027 tour, with Manchester’s Etihad Stadium also linked to a run of shows. 

Similar Oasis displays have appeared in Glasgow, Rome, Paris, Amsterdam and Boston, adding to the excitement surrounding the band’s next move.

Why Ireland could be a key part of Oasis’ next move

Oasis have a strong connection to Slane Castle, making Ireland one of the places fans are watching most closely ahead of next week’s announcement.

The Gallagher brothers have already performed at the Co Meath venue twice. Oasis first appeared there in 1995 as support for R.E.M., before returning 14 years later to headline their own show in 2009. That concert came just months before the band famously split.

Their Irish heritage could also make a return to Slane particularly fitting, with Niall Byrne suggesting Liam and Noel’s pride in their Irish roots could play a part in the band’s plans.

However, the claim that Oasis could perform five times at the venue has raised some doubts. 

Slane is already set for a busy year, with Fontaines D.C. booked for two June shows, while the venue has never held more than two concerts in one year.

Despite that, Byrne called the Oasis-Slane story a “very, very, very strong rumour”. He also pointed out that Oasis have not yet teased an Irish location in their promotional campaign.

For now, he stressed that “nothing is confirmed at the moment”, but added: “It would be very weird if they didn’t announce an Irish one next week.”
