OFFICIAL: Season 3 of Money Heist is now on Netflix
That's the weekend viewing sorted.
Gripping, tense, and with a plot that's designed to keep you binge-watching until you don't even realise that the sun has risen on the next morning, we've been championing the superb Money Heist ever since it was available to watch on Netflix.
If you have not yet seen Money Heist - know as La Casa de Papel in its native Spain - and you don’t know what it’s about, the basic thing that you need to know is that it tells the story of a robbery that's planned by an extremely gifted mastermind called The Professor.
In order to execute the perfect plan, he hires a motley crew of criminals and thieves, however, with such a massive reward at stake, it's inevitable that tensions, mistrust, and rivalries will come into play.
Money Heist is a crime story, a hostage drama, a thriller, a love story, a tale of friendship, and a story of betrayal.
Despite the high stakes that are involved, there's also a very strong dark comedy vibe throughout the show and the characters are incredibly well developed - if you haven't seen it yet, you're really going to hate some of them!
Speaking about Season 3, the show's creator, Alex Pina, has said that: "The third season maintains the same DNA of the previous ones but, it’s so much more in every way. More spectacular, more ambitious, more surprising, more photographically beautiful, more narratively risky and of course, we continue to experiment."
Season 3 is more ambitious in terms of its scale with scenes that were filmed in Thailand, Panama, and Italy.
Aside from the characters that are still alive following the assault on the Royal Mint, we're also introduced to new characters that are just as magnetic, complex and ambiguous as those who preceded them.
In terms of the plot, not an awful lot is known aside from the official tagline which reads: "This time it's not about money. This time it's about family."
The heist is on.
Take a look at what's in store.
All three seasons of Money Heist are available to watch on Netflix.
