Paul Rudd Letter

“I can’t wait to see all the amazing things you’re going to accomplish.”

If you needed any reminders as to why he’s one of the most beloved actors in Hollywood, Paul Rudd has showed his support for a 12-year old fan who was bullied at school.

The Ant-Man and Anchorman star reached out to Brody Ridder after the student from Colorado shared stories of bullying at school, including his fellow classmates refusing to sign his yearbook.

After Brody’s story was picked up by the Washington Post and other media outlets, messages of support have come in from across the entertainment world, including a letter and a signed Ant-Man helmet from Rudd himself.

“It’s important to remember that even when life is tough that things get better,” Rudd wrote in the letter, according to News10.

“There are so many people that love you and think you’re the coolest kid there is — me being one of them! I can’t wait to see all the amazing things you’re going to accomplish.”

Ridder’s mother, Cassandra Cooper, shared pictures of the signed gift on Facebook, a life size replica of Rudd’s helmet from the Ant-Man films.

“To my good friend Brody for when he takes on the world!,” Rudd wrote on the prop.

Also shared on Cooper’s Facebook was a video of Rudd calling the 12-year old on Facetime.

“I heard about you, and I thought, ‘I gotta talk to this kid’,” Rudd told Brody.

“This kid sounds like my kinda guy. Likes chess, likes fencing, likes dinosaurs, am I right?!

“I’m very excited that I get to talk to you and that I get to meet you.”

“Something AMAZING happened today,” Cooper said.

“Brody got to talk to Paul Rudd! ANT-MAN!!!! Like this this real life?! Pinch me now! Brody was so excited! I wanted to share a clip of their call!

“Shout out to Paul Rudd, and his sister Mandi for reaching out and setting this up! You truly made Brody so happy! My heart is so full right now!”
