Aside from this, remember that time when he flipped out at Sweet Dee and said: “Dee, I swear you would be of more use to me if I skinned you and turned your skin into a lampshade or fashioned you into a piece of high-end luggage. Add you to my collection.Think of the smell. You haven’t thought of the smell, you bitch! You say another word and I swear to God I will dice you into a million little pieces and put those pieces in a box, a glass box that I will display on my mantel.”
Truth be told, if you’re in Dennis’ room then you’re always being filmed and while the biggest psycho in Paddy’s Pub likes to think that he’s a five-star man, a new character on Netflix’s show You has rivalled him for the title of the creepiest character in any show.
Aside from the fact that Penn Badgley (Joe) does have a physical similarity to Glenn Howerton (Dennis) – both sets of hair are glorious too – there’s also the fact that the character of Joe is a fully-fledged psychopath.
Without giving too much away, he’s paranoid, controlling, delusional, dangerously possessive, extremely violent, completely warped, toxic, and yet, oddly charismatic.
We wonder if Joe also has his own system in place – you know, one that replicates the madness of the D.E.N.N.I.S System?
J – Justify the stalking behaviour.
O- Organise a way to earn her trust and love.
E- Eliminate all competition.
See, Dennis and Joe are like two incredibly creepy peas in a pod. Plenty of people agree.
