Planet Zog has changed them.

Ireland has so many TV cultural institutions as shows like Glenroe, The Sunday Game and The Late Late Show all spring to mind but when it comes to kids programmes, there's two shows that lord over the rest, Bosco and The Den. If you want to feel incredibly old then you might be surprised to hear that Zig and Zag made their TV debut on The Den back in 1987 and the pair have never looked back since. Along with their friend Socky and hosts Ian Dempsey, Ray D'Arcy, Damien McCaul and Francis Boylan Jnr, Planet Zog's most famous duo have released comic books, songs, videos and a plethora of other merchandise. Zigmund Ambrose Zogly and Zagnatius Hillary Zogly even had a memorable spell on The Big Breakfast but they're returning soon to Irish airwaves with a 26 episode animated series. Take a look at how they look along with their new theme song. Here's hoping that the show manages to introduce a new generation of Irish kids to the crazy antics of Zig and Zag. zIGzAG1 zIGzAG2 As we mentioned before, Ricky Wilson and Simon Rix of the Kaiser Chiefs have teamed up in the studio to record the theme song for the new show. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Bp4jHAkXuQ Clip via - CBBC
