There’s actually a strong Irish connection to the show that we didn’t have a clue about, no Kim isn’t from Termonfeckin, she sometimes uses a stand-in and the person who does it is from Galway.
Shahira Barry is a 23-year-old actress and model from Athenry and she’s been building an exciting career for herself in Los Angeles.

As well as playing Kim Kardashian’s stand in, she’s had roles in True Detective, Ted 2 and Bruno Mars’ Uptown Funk video.
She talked to Anton Savage on TodayFM about the Kardashian job, “I was a stand in for the different set ups. I got to do the shoot myself so they could test the lighting.
“I wish I got to actually keep the end result, because the shoot was amazing.”

She added, “Kim is so sweet, so smiley and happy and is a really nice person. Kris, the mother was really nice.
“I would have been let down if they were anything but the way they were on TV, because then you would think that the show is a fake.”
