Released in 2018, this 81-minute-long movie is not for the faint of heart.

Van Wilder: Party Liason – MTV – 10pm

Zodiac – Quest – 11pm

This gripping mystery thriller details the manhunt for the Zodiac Killer, a serial murderer who terrorised the San Francisco Bay Area during the late 1960s and early 1970s.

Assassin’s Creed – Channel 4 – 11.05pm

A divisive big screen adaptation of the popular video game series starring Michael Fassbender.

Piercing – Legend – 11.15pm

Our pick for tonight, this 2018 psychological thriller from director Nicolas Pesce (The Eyes of My Mother, The Grudge) focuses on Reed (Christopher Abbott, Possessor), a married man who rents a hotel room and hires the services of a sex worker with sinister intentions.

However, the tables quickly become turned when the sex worker, named Jackie (Mia Wasikowska, Crimson Peak), arrives and has her own agenda.

Based on a cult novel by Ryū Murakami (Audition), Piercing’s stylish direction, black comedy, twisty script and multi-layered performances from Abbott and Wasikowska keep the movie compelling throughout its breezy 81-minute running time.

That said, its dark story and moments of violence make it not for the faint of heart.

As well as airing on TV tonight, the film is available to rent on Apple TV for just 99c.
