Aran Murphy co-stars alongside Sharon Horgan in her new comedy out next week.

Aran's star is ascending, with him starring in not one, but two new HBO shows. These are Sharon Horgan's romantic comedy Youth, where he plays the Irish actress' son, and War, a legal drama with Dominic West and Sienna Miller.

Aran Murphy viral interview clip:

It was for the project Youth that the teenager was interviewed by Scottish presenter Jodie McCallum on the red carpet. Within 24 hours of being uploaded, clips from the conversation (which you can watch above) have already gathered millions of views.

This is as many viewers have pointed out how much Aran looks and sounds like his father.

Youth is created by and stars Sharon Horgan of Bad Sisters and Catastrophe fame. She plays a 50-year-old divorcee searching for sex and love whilst juggling caring for her ailing parents and parenting her should-be grown-up son (Aran Murphy).

On top of the aforementioned shows, Aran is part of the cast of Klara and the Sun, Taika Waititi's upcoming film adaptation of the acclaimed sci-fi novel of the same name by Kazuo Ishiguro.

The cast of the movie also includes Amy Adams, Jenna Ortega, Natasha Lyonne, and Steve Buscemi.

Youth will premiere on HBO Max/NOW on Monday, 21 September.
