Prime Video has quietly added 10 big movies to its library

Rory Cashin

Loads of new (and old!) stuff to choose from this week…

Not as many new additions to the Prime Video library as there were last week, but we’re not complaining!

I WANT YOU BACK

Charlie Day and Jenny Slate star in this brand new rom-com. We did a full write-up on it right here.

LYING AND STEALING

Theo James (Divergent) and Emily Ratajkowski (Gone Girl) star in this art heist crime drama. 62% on Rotten Tomatoes, so it is probably very watchable and also very forgettable. We haven’t seen it. Or we have and have already forgotten it.

MISS SLOANE

Jessica Chastain plays a powerful D.C. lobbyist who takes on the most dangerous opponent of her career, at potentially too high a cost.

THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: CITY OF BONES

Intended to be the next Hunger Games/Twilight/hit series for teenagers, this first entry in the Lily James-fronted franchise performed so badly that the entire thing was cancelled. Has the almost-a-decade been kind to it? Probably not, but only one way to find out.

NOW YOU SEE ME

Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco and Woody Harrelson are a group of magicians who use their tricks to get away with some of the biggest heists imaginable. Mark Ruffalo is the cop trying to track them down, while Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine are also in the mix.

NOW YOU SEE ME 2

The sequel adds Daniel Radcliffe to the cast, as a tech genius who recruits the group of magicians for an even-more-elaborate heist.

P.S. I LOVE YOU

Hilary Swank and Gerard Butler star in this much-loved rom-com about a young widow who follows the ten messages left behind by her late widow.

PRISONERS

Denis Villeneuve (Sicario, Arrival, Dune) directs this incredibly dark psychological thriller about a father (Hugh Jackman) who attempts to exact revenge on the man (Paul Dano) who he believes has abducted his young daughter. At the same time, a detective (Jake Gyllenhaal) pursues multiple leads to find the missing children.

ROONEY

A look at the man who is widely considered to be one of the very best footballers of his generation, this documentary will see Wayne Rooney and those closest to him (including his wife Coleen) recount stories from some of the important moments of his life.

SAFE

Jason Statham attempts to protect a young girl from several vicious criminal organisations who want a priceless numerical code she has memorised.
