Prime Video has just added 20 very big movies to its library

Rory Cashin

From 2023 Oscar-favourites to an absolute dud with 0% on Rotten Tomatoes!

One of the best action movies ever made turns 10 years old this week, and you can actually watch it on Prime Video right now!

But aside from that, here are 20 other big movies that have recently been added to the Prime Video library.

Starting with…

A SIMPLE FAVOR

Anna Kendrick, Blake Lively and Henry Golding star in this thriller about a missing woman, and her new best friend who makes it her mission to find where she went.

ANNA

Cillian Murphy, Helen Mirren and Luke Evans star in this dull action thriller about a double-crossing assassin. Don’t let the big names fool you!

ARGENTINA 1985

With an impressive 97% on Rotten Tomatoes, this is Argentina’s hopeful winner of Best International Feature at the 2023 Oscars. Based on true events, it follows the journalists who helped topple a dictatorship.

GOTTI

John Travolta stars in this biopic of the famed mobster John Gotti. It has a score of 0% – yes, ZERO percent – on Rotten Tomatoes.

HUNTER KILLER

Gerard Butler and Gary Oldman star in this dumb-but-fun submarine-set action thriller.

INHERITANCE

A family finds themselves in very deep trouble when an elderly family member leaves them a secret, dangerous inheritance in their will. Lily Collins, Simon Pegg, Chace Crawford and Connie Nielsen star.

JOHN WICK 3: PARABELLUM

We’re not here for the plot, we’re here to see Keanu Reeves have a sword fight on horseback, or a shoot-out while being assisted by Halle Berry and a pack of trained dogs.

LONG SHOT

Charlize Theron and Seth Rogen headline this charming rom-com about a political candidate and her high school friend she hires to write her speeches.

MOULIN ROUGE!

The musical that people who don’t like musicals still love. Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman sing, dance and act their way through Baz Luhrmann’s French fancy.

Check out our chat with Luhrmann about his recent Elvis biopic right here:

PRETTY WOMAN

One of the best romantic comedies of all time. End of description.

THE PROPOSAL

A boss (Sandra Bullock) and her put-upon assistant (Ryan Reynolds) have to pretend to be in love in order to stop her being deported back to Canada, only for real sparks to begin flying while they’re faking it.

REAL STEEL

Hugh Jackman headlines this fun action-drama, which is basically Rocky, but with added giant robots.

ROBIN HOOD

When will Hollywood learn that audiences don’t really care about this character anymore? Taron Egerton headlines this adaptation, with Jamie Foxx and Jamie Dornan in support, but the 15% score on Rotten Tomatoes tells you everything you need to know.

THE ROCK

Sean Connery and Nic Cage star in this very entertaining action epic from explosion maestro Michael Bay set in the walls of Alcatraz prison.

THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW

“I’ll Tell You Once, I Won’t Tell You Twice. You Better Wise Up, Janet Weiss.”

RUNAWAY BRIDE

The reunion of Julia Roberts and Richard Gere for this rom-com wasn’t nearly as successful as their first pairing, but still watchable enough.

SHUT IN

A 2022 release, telling the story of a young mother must use her wits to protect herself and her two young children when her violent ex keeps them all captive. 60% on Rotten Tomatoes.

SIGNS

Mel Gibson is at his most restrained as a former priest in M. Night Shyamalan’s alien invasion horror.

SUNSHINE

We recently wrote about this brilliant movie’s 15 year anniversary and how it was massively overlooked upon release.

UNBREAKABLE

M. Night Shyamalan again, this time with (arguably) his best movie to date, featuring Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson is a great dissection of superhero origin stories.
