Quentin Tarantino’s description of his next (and potentially final) project is interesting, for sure

Quentin Tarantino final film

He also didn’t say no to the idea of Kill Bill Vol.3…

Ever since he said that he was only ever going to make 10 movies, Quentin Tarantino has kind of left his own Sword of Damocles hanging over his own career, an ever-present impending full-stop.

2019’s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood represented his ninth movie, so all eyes have been on what he will mark out to be his 10th and final big screen outing.

There have been rumours of him taking on a Star Trek movie, a sequel to Django Unchained, a series based on the fictional character Rick Dalton played by Leonardo DiCaprio… and, of course, the long-mooted Kill Bill Vol.3.

Speaking at the Rome Film Festival this week, where he was presented with a lifetime achievement award from horror legend Dario Argento, Tarantino was directly asked if his next/final movie would be that threequel.

His simple response?

“Why not?”

But according to Variety, who reported on the award presentation, he already has his next project lined up… and he goes a long way to ensure that it definitely won’t be his next/final movie:

“First, I want to make a comedy. It’s not like my next movie. It’s a piece of something else that I’m thinking about doing – and I’m not going to describe what it is… There is supposed to be a Spaghetti Western in it.

“I’m looking forward to shooting that [thing] because it’s going to be really fun. I want to shoot it in the Spaghetti Western style where everybody’s speaking a different language.

“The Mexican Bandido is an Italian; the hero is an American; the bad sheriff is a German; the Mexican saloon girl is Israeli. And everybody is speaking a different language. And you [the actors] just know – okay, when he’s finished talking then I can talk.”

Back in 2019, we chatted to Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie about working with Tarantino on OUATIH, and whether they’d come back to work with him on his rumoured Star Trek movie.
