Another chance to treat a very good boy or girl…

Following a wildly successful and equally adorable dog-friendly screening on Sunday, the team at Dublin’s Light House Cinema have responded to overwhelming demand for more cinematic canine action.

The Smithfield picture house has now added a further three dog-welcoming screenings of Wes Anderson’s Isle of Dogs across the Easter Bank Holiday weekend.

The screenings take place at 10am on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Tickets go live at 3pm today (Tuesday 27 March) and are sure to be snapped up quick, so if you and your dog fancy seeing the latest whimsical tale from Mr Anderson – JOE’s own Rory Cashin has been raving about it for at least a week now, as it happens – hit up the official Light House site.

What’s more, new and shiny sister cinema Pálás in Galway has gotten in on the act for a 10am screening of the film this Friday 30 March. Tickets for that one are on sale here.

Both the Light House and Pálás will supply plenty of water bowls, as well as issuing all dogs with a blanket so they can sit on the seat next to their owner.

Just make sure they don’t talk during the movie as good cinema etiquette applies to both humans and animals…
