Radio revellers rejoice! ‘Tis the season… to listen to Christmas FM

All across the land, dawns a brand new day... the day that Christmas FM returns that is.

Eoghan Doherty

Sure, your over-enthusiastic neighbour has had their Christmas tree up since August 28th, and Steve, the weird hairy guy who’s been wearing the same Santa onesie for about four and a half years has returned, but those aren’t the real tell-tale signs to let you know that Christmas has arrived.

No, you know that the season of goodwill and festive fun is upon you when the nation’s favourite, temporary, seasonal, specifically Christmas-related, volunteer radio station has returned.

That’s right everyone, Christmas FM is back on the airwaves.

The station makes a welcome return today to radios all across the land, so you can now listen online at Christmasfm.com or you can check the complete list of wireless frequencies at the bottom of the article to find your local FM frequency (we’re pretty sure that the ‘FM’ stands for ‘Festive Music’).

In the meantime though, make sure you follow the super station on Twitter by clicking here.

According to the station’s website, “Christmas FM is Ireland’s all Christmas station. The station brings the Magic of Christmas to Ireland on the radio each year and to the world via this website and our Apps. The station is run as a not-for-profit operation where all excess revenue each year goes back into the station to build and expand the operation the following year. Christmas FM also partners with a charity partner each year in order to raise funds through listener donations for that charity. We have raised over €350,000 for charities to date. In 2013 we are on air until December 26th.”

This year’s chosen charity is Aware and you can donate by clicking here.

So what are you waiting for?  Tune those eggnog knobs and turn those Little Donkey dials and God bless them, every one.

Trust us, Yule be glad you did…
