One of the best Irish thrillers of recent years is on TV tonight

Directed by a duo who worked on the hit crime drama Kin, the film has a 95% score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Written and directed by Christine Molloy and Joe Lawlor (Baltimore, Kin), the film centres on a university student named Rose (Ann Skelly, The Nevers).

Having been adopted as a young child, she is now seeking out her biological parents.

After tracking down her birth mother (Orla Brady, Star Trek: Picard), Rose discovers disturbing information relating to her biological father (Aidan Gillen, Kin) - whom she then sets out to confront.

Holding an impressive 95% score on Rotten Tomatoes, Rose Plays Julie's darkly compelling story, incredible performances, and dread-inducing atmosphere should be seen by a wider audience.

The movie is airing on TV tonight on RTÉ One at 11.20pm.

It is also currently streaming on Prime Video.
