Late Late Show

They’re looking to lasso in a few more folks.

Everybody was really excited when they heard that The Late Late Show’s Country Special was happening again this year.

It’s got everything you could possibly want from a country special of any popular talk show: a tribute to the late Glen Campbell, a load of singing, and surely a cowboy hat or two.

Thousands of people have already applied for tickets for the special, but RTÉ are still taking applications for audience members so they mustn’t have gotten all the country fans they wanted yet.

Ryan Tubridy said he’s delighted the special is happening again this year because it always gets such a great reaction.

“It always gets a huge reaction and it’s one of the shows I am asked about again and again when I am out and about. The audience are a key part of what makes it work – their enthusiasm for this music is infectious.

“There is a huge and very passionate fan base out there for Irish country – you see it in all corners of Ireland -and this Late Late will be a true celebration of the music they love.”

Lovely.

The Late Late Show’s Country Special takes place on 20 April.

You can apply for audience tickets until Monday, 9 April here.
