His new psychological thriller The Pope's Exorcist will soon be filming scenes in Dublin and Wicklow, and the production are in need of extras for the movie.

What the production have requested is as follows:

"People with excellent availability throughout August and September in the Bray/South Dublin area. The film is set in Spain/Italy in 1995 so we are looking for some Mediterranean/South American looking men and women - young and old.

"We are also looking for some black men and women over 50 who could pull off a cardinal or priest look. If you think this is you then we'd love to hear from you. We're looking for both men and women, mostly adults though there will be some teenagers required as well."

The movie will adapt the true story of Father Gabriele Amorth (to be played by Russell Crowe), with the official synopsis for the movie being:

"Portrayal of a real-life figure Father Gabriele Amorth, a priest who acted as chief exorcist of the Vatican and who performed more than 100,000 exorcisms in his lifetime. (He passed away in 2016 at the age of 91.)

"Amorth wrote two memoirs - An Exorcist Tells His Story and An Exorcist: More Stories - and detailed his experiences battling Satan and demons that had clutched people in their evil."

The movie is being directed by Julius Avery, who previously delivered OTT action-zombie horror Overlord, with the script provided by the writer of 2017's live-action remake of Beauty & The Beast.
