One of the greats…
Colm Cooper appeared on The Late Late Show on Friday night as he launched his new book, Gooch.
The retired Kerry star joined Tubridy for a wide ranging interview where he discussed his career, his parents, and the recent highly publicised testimonial dinner that running to celebrate his career.
Cooper also revealed that he was driving back to Kerry after the show because he has a football semi-final on down in Kerry today.
He spoke with incredible honesty about the deaths of his parents and how his mother got to see his best years playing with Kerry, but it was unfortunate that his father didn’t get that chance.

He also went onto discuss sledging and how it has crept into the game. He reveals he’s not a fan of it which isn’t surprising considering as a corner forward, he was probably on the receiving end of most of it, especially in the latter part of his career.
