Here’s who’s on Graham Norton and the Healy-Rae special edition of the Late Late tonight

Conor Heneghan

late late show

A big night for Kerry’s most famous political family.

The start of a three-day weekend may tempt many of you into heading out for the evening, but for those of you staying in, here’s who’s on both couches tonight.

The Late Late Show

The Healy-Rae family

It’s a veritable treat for fans of the Healy-Rae family tonight as Michael Healy-Rae, Danny Healy-Rae, Johnny Healy-Rae, Maura Healy-Rae and Jackie Healy-Rae Junior will be in studio to discuss the family’s enduring popularity a week after three Healy-Raes won seats on Kerry County Council in the local elections.

The Collison Brothers

The Limerick siblings keep a relatively low profile for two of Ireland’s richest people and two of the most influential figures in the tech industry in the United States, but will shed some light on how they got to where they are in discussion with Ryan Tubridy tonight.

Having built their online payments firm Stripe into a company now worth $22 billion, John and Patrick Collison will chat about the secrets to their success, the influence of their parents and why it’s important to them that Ireland remains a major fixture in their empire.

The family of Laura Brennan

On Friday night, the Late Late Show will celebrate the life of the late Laura Brennan, the Clare native who made a huge impact when she appeared on the show in April last year to tell her story of being diagnosed with terminal cervical cancer and to raise awareness of the HPV vaccine.

Laura’s family – mum Bernie, dad Larry and brothers Colin, Fergal and Kevin – will join Ryan to talk about their loss and the impact that Laura had on those who loved her and on the country.

There’ll also be comedy from Oliver Callan, music from The Waterboys and from Luka Bloom – who will perform the winning tune in Ireland’s Favourite Folk Song competition – while one lucky member of the studio audience will be going home with a new Renault.

The Late Late Show is on RTÉ One at 9.35pm

The Graham Norton Show

If you can somehow take your eyes off the Healy-Raes on the Late Late, then there’s plenty of the usual star quality over on Graham Norton on BBC One.

Thor himself, Chris Hemsworth, will be on to talk about the phenomenon that is Avengers: Endgame and his upcoming appearance in Men in Black: International. He’ll be joined by the stars of Good Omens, Michael Sheen and David Tennant, who will discuss their roles in a new TV show coming to Amazon Prime.

The great Gloria Estefan will chat to Graham about a string of upcoming performances of On Your Feet! the Story of Emilio and Gloria Estefan, at the London Coliseum, while music will come from Jonas Brothers.

The Graham Norton Show is on BBC One at 10.35pm
