Move over Jedward, Ireland has a new favourite set of twins.
Gogglebox Ireland debuted on TV3 last night and as you’d expect, a large portion of the Irish television audience tuned in and watched their tellies to watch people watching telly.
There was a huge reaction to the first episode on the Twitter machine to Eileen and Angela in Castleknock, to the group of girls from Cabra and to the Ryans from Monaleen, but audiences seemed to warm to the Tully twins from Cavan the most.
Fergal and Neal Tully, of whom it was said that “they chat with each other more than to their own wives” made a huge impression on viewers across the land, whether it was for standing for the national anthem or for a riveting discussion about the best type of biscuit for dipping into tea.
And, of course, the killer line: “It’s like Britain’s Got Talent… but it’s shit.”
These guys are going to be very popular over the next three months or so alright.
