The new teaser trailer for House Of Cards Season 2 is a thing of dark, menacing beauty

"Let the butchery begin."

Following on from the news that House Of Cards has received four Golden Globe television nominations, Netflix has released the teaser trailer for the excellent show’s upcoming second season.

And it is a thing of dark, menacing, Kevin Spacey-fuelled beauty.

The original online-only Netflix show deservedly picked up nominations for Best TV Series, Drama; Best Actress in a TV Series, Drama (Robin Wright); Best Actor in a TV Series, Drama (Kevin Spacey); and Best Supporting Actor in a Series, Mini-Series or TV Movie (Corey Stoll).

Set in present day Washington D.C., House Of Cards is a political drama that tells the immoral tale of Frank Underwood (Spacey), a disgruntled Democrat who, after being passed over for appointment of Secretary of State, decides to exact revenge on those who betrayed him. This is one man that you most certainly do not want to piss off.

Over the course of the first series, Underwood has managed to… well, why let JOE spoil it for you when you can treat yourself to the entire first season right here on Netflix.

If you have been tuning in, however, then sit back and revel in the newly-released trailer which contains first season highlights, as well as the first look at exclusive footage from the upcoming second season.

Here at JOE we absolutely cannot wait to see this when it premieres on Friday 14th February – thanks for the perfect Valentine’s Day gift Netflix. We would have been happy with flowers but this is much, much better.

“Let the butchery begin.”

The second season of House Of Cards premieres on Friday 14 February 2014 on Netflix.
