The Simpsons’ producer and writer reveals this brilliant idea on how the show might end

It's going to end someday, right?

Paul Moore

It’s going to end some day, right?

There are certain things that JOE will always take as a given like the sun rising or a torturous qualifying campaign for the Irish football team.

The Simpsons is also something that we have grown accustomed to always seeing on our TV.

The show hasn’t been the same since about season 8 but we can’t even begin to describe the importance that the show has had on our life.

Without it we wouldn’t have known that pelicans can’t be used to mix cement, alcohol is in fact the cause and solution to all of life’s problems or that helper monkeys are the greatest thing ever.

Although the show shows no signs of stopping, The Simspons showrunner Al Jean revealed his idea for that sad final episode, one that gives a whole new meaning to the idea that The Simpsons will go on forever.

We love this idea because it buys into the whole “time is a flat circle” argument (thanks to Rustin Cohle for that one) or a continuous doughnut, if you prefer.
