Yikes.
Plot’s it all about: One of Stephen King’s most notoriously disturbing novels is coming to cinemas next year in the form of Pet Sematary, a darker than dark meditation on life, death, and whatever the hell there might be in between.
The upcoming film, directed by Kevin Kölsch and Dennis Widmyer, appears as though it will closely follow the plot of the book as doctor Louis Creed moves to a small town in Maine (King’s home state), where he discovers a cemetery for dead pets and an ancient Indian burial ground deep within the woods by his new home.
As set-ups go, it might not sound particularly terrifying. But this is a Stephen King story, and the whole thing just descends into something more twisted than you could imagine.
Oh. And there’s a cat zombie. A zombie cat. Yeah.

Starring: Jason Clarke of Zero Dark Thirty and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes stars as Creed, whilst John Lithgow appears perfectly cast as the elderly neighbour who warns the new Ludlow resident of the true extent of the dark arts at work.
