Also, the movie with perhaps the most attractive cast of all time is given an official release date.

If you thought 2019 was going to be a big year for movie lovers (and trust us, it is), then you should probably start getting ready for 2020 right now.

Just in terms of what is defo coming out, we’ve got:

Bad Boys 3, The Grudge reboot, Birds Of Prey, Peter Rabbit 2, Gambit, Mulan, G.I. Joe 3, Legally Blonde 3, A Quiet Place 2, Malificent 2, the Candyman reboot, Wonder Woman 2, Top Gun 2, Minions 2, Indiana Jones 5, the currently untitled new Christopher Nolan movie, Jungle Cruise, Coming To America 2, Monster Hunter, the remake of The Witches, Sherlock Holmes 3, a lot of MCU, DCU, X-Men, Spider-Man, and the other comic books movies that haven’t been officially given titles yet.

Oh, and Avatar 2.

And they’re just some of the ones we know about!

On top of all of that, 2020 also has at least three more biggies, all of which had their release dates switched around this weekend.

First of all, we’ve got Bond 25. After initial director Danny Boyle dropped out and was replaced by True Detective director Cary Joji Fukunaga, we know that Daniel Craig will be back as Bond, and will be joined by Ralph Fiennes as M, Ben Whishaw as Q, Naomie Harris as Moneypenny, and Spectre Bond-girl Lea Seydoux back as the love interest.

It was initially set to be released on Feb 14, which would’ve put it up against a currently untitled live-action Disney movie (which may or may not be Cruella DeVil starring Emma Stone), as well as a new comedy from the guy behind Girl’s Trip (please be Girl’s Trip 2!), and an animated movie titled Nimona (which, ironically, stars Daniel Craig).

Bond 25 will now be released on April 8, which was once a slot filled by Fast & Furious 9, but this has now been pushed back to May 22.

With the spin-off Hobbs & Shaw arriving in cinemas this August, neither The Rock nor Jason Statham will be appearing in the nine-quel, which will be directed by Justin Lin (who directed F&Fs 3, 4, 5, and 6).

There is no word if Charlize Theron will return as villain again, as so far only Vin Diesel, Tyrese Gibson, and Jordana Brewster have been confirmed on the cast-list according to IMDb.

The new release date will put the racers up against Godzilla vs. Kong (the sequel to this year’s Godzilla: King Of The Monsters), as well as the fantastically titled The SpongeBob Movie: It’s a Wonderful Sponge.

And finally, we’ve got Dune.

Director Denis Villeneuve (Sicario, Arrival, Blade Runner 2049) has assembled, quite possibly, the most attractive cast imaginable for his sci-fi epic.

Jason Momoa, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Timothee Chalamet, Stellan Skarsgard, Dave Bautistia, Javier Bardem, Zendaya, and Rebecca Ferguson star in the adaptation of the classic novel, and it has been set for November 20, which is prime Oscar season.

However, this is also the same date that Fantastic Beasts 3 is due for release, which is also a Warner Brothers movie, so expect that one to get moved around somewhere in shuffle, too.
