Set in the late '50s in Britain, the Northern Irish actor plays Tony Aaron, a disgraced cop turned private detective. His speciality is faking evidence of adultery for use in divorce cases, a common trick at the time.

In the course of this shady work, Tony becomes embroiled in a double murder, for which he is a suspect.

As such, the ex-cop starts his own investigation into the killings and, in the process, falls for Angeline (Laura San Giacomo - Sex, Lies and Videotape, Sugar), another person of interest in the case.

Laura San Giacomo in Under Suspicion

Written and directed by Simon Moore (who penned The Quick and the Dead and Traffik), Under Suspicion was not a hit at the box office or with critics upon release.

That said, the movie holds a decent 6.4 IMDb score, suggesting it may be worth seeking out for Neeson completists or fans of other similar adult-focused twisty mystery thrillers.

Under Suspicion is airing on TV tonight on Virgin Media Three at 10.55pm. The film is currently unavailable to rent or stream, so now is your rare chance to check it out.
