And so it begins…
The Tonight Show, in all of its new-found splendour under the guidance of shiny new host Jimmy Fallon, kicked off in the States last night, with the fresh-faced SNL alumnus taking over the hallowed chair from Jay Leno AKA The Human Chin.
The iconic late-night talk show, now in its seventh incarnation, was absolutely jam-packed to the rafters full of celebrity goodness, with none other than our very own U2 kicking the show off with a brilliant boppin’ bang. Following Jimmy’s opening, Bono and the boys launched into a performance of their newest rock anthem ‘Invisible’, all set against the incredible backdrop of the New York city evening skyline…
As well as welcoming Bono, The Edge, Larry and Adam as special guests on the night, a denim-dungareed Fallon teamed up with actor, rapper and alien-defeaterer extraordinaire Will Smith to kindly run everybody through the evolution of hip-hop dancing…

Last but not least, Fallon was joined by… *JOE takes deep breath*… Robert DeNiro, Tina ‘please marry JOE’ Fey, Joe Namath, Rudy Giuliani, Mariah Carey, Tracy Morgan, Joan Rivers, Kim Kardashian, Seth Rogen, Lindsay Lohan, Sarah Jessica Parker, Mike Tyson, Lady Gaga and the always hilariously wonderful… Mr Stephen Colbert.
