Poor Carrie’s in the thick of it again.

Individual fans will have their own opinions, of course, but there was definitely a consensus that the last season of Homeland, Season 4, was its best yet. The new season will have a lot to live up to when its released in early October, but we’re liking what we see from the trailer, which hints at the usual mix of suspense, suspicion and a lot of action, with a bit of sex thrown in for good measure. No doubt Carrie will do plenty of this as well... carriecrying The blurb tells us that Season 5 picks up two years after the end of the last season and finds Carrie working as head of security for a German philanthropist in Berlin, estranged from the CIA. It doesn’t look as if she’ll be estranged for too long as regular mainstays Saul and Quinn obviously have a huge part to play in the coming season, which airs on Showtime on October 4 so we can expect to see it on our screens shortly afterwards.
