The force is strong in this one…

A few days ago, JOE brought you the brilliant news that Kerry is being used as a location for Star Wars Episode VII: The Rise of Jedi JOE (we’re trying to convince JJ Abrams to use that one)

If that wasn’t enough we also brought you our guide to Star Wars locations around Ireland, the rumours of the plot and this brilliant fan footage.

Much like those poor stormtroopers that had to rebuild the Death Star, JOE never stops working and this footage made by Irish production house Bold Puppy is absolutely terrific.

Who knew that the remote Kerry island played host to wookies, AT-AT’s, tie-fighters, droids and X-wings.

JOE is still in a state of shock that Star Wars is coming to Ireland but this image of the crew boarding in Portmagee has re-assured us that this is actually happening.

Apparently, Star Wars Episode VII will have a 3 day shoot on Skellig Michael with boats delivering the crew and gear to the island although some of what we’re hearing is that the cast will be flown to the island from a base camp on the mainland.

Having been on the island we are curious about what it could be used for in the movie?Jedi Temple, Sith lair or Chewbacca’s church, regardless JOE will keep you up to date with all things Star Wars as they happen.
