Who knew that Matt Damon, Vince Vaughan, Morgan Freeman and lots more actors all hailed from the Emerald Isle?

JOE Towers is a fairly patriotic place to be right now as we, just like the rest of the country, are all on a John O’Shea-inspired buzz.

To be honest, we’re always proud to call ourselves Irish and why wouldn’t we be? Every inch of land from Malin Head to Mizen Head and everything in between is a testament to this brilliant country of ours.

It seems that Conor McGregor’s famous remark about the Irish taking over has already found its way to the silver screen though.

JOE’S friends at Coponfilms have made this superb mash-up of every time a character in films has proclaimed their love at the fact that they hail from Ireland.

Keep this secret but we have it on good authority that Morgan Freeman is actually from Termonfeckin, Matt Damon hails from Tuam and that Vince Vaughan fella is straight out of Kells.

We strongly urge you to watch until the end because the final line from Navan man Pierce Brosnan is brilliant.

Maith an buachaill!
