Our TV movie pick for tonight (Sunday, 23 November) is Warrior, the brilliant 2011 sports/action film starring Tom Hardy.

Tom Hardy stars in Warrior as Tommy Conlon, a troubled former Marine who returns home and enters a mixed martial arts tournament with a personal mission.

He reconnects with his estranged father, Paddy (Nick Nolte), and comes face-to-face with his brother, Brendan (Joel Edgerton), who is also competing.

The two brothers, both seeking their own forms of redemption, must confront past traumas and simmering family tensions both inside and outside the ring.

Directed by Gavin O’Connor, Warrior also features Jennifer Morrison, Frank Grillo, and Kevin Dunn, delivering a raw, emotionally charged performance.

Praised for its intense fight sequences and heartfelt storytelling, Warrior has earned strong critical acclaim, holding an 84% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes for its gripping action, powerful performances, and emotional depth.
