WATCH: Love Island contestants trying to make sense of Brexit is riveting television

Love Island Brexit

Confused about Brexit? So are we after watching this…

You may be familiar with a current television phenomenon known as Love Island.

Maybe you’re on the couch every night (is it on every night?) taking it all in, or perhaps you’ve deliberately shielded any and all mentions of it on social media for the foreseeable.

It’s one of those ‘not for everyone’ TV events, for sure. Still, the show does bring joy to many people so there’s no judgement here if you’re more into the likes of Love Island and Big Brother than, say, The Wire or what-not.

Like what you like, essentially. Plus, the only thing more boring than people banging on about howling and suddenly being unable to breathe while watching Love Island is when others line up to tell you how far superior their own TV tastes are by comparison.

Or maybe it’s when someone points out that latter scenario that’s the most irritating of all, it’s honestly quite hard to figure out.

Also quite tricky to make sense of? Brexit.

You’ve every right to still be scratching your head over the whole Brexit thing as it continues to shamble along like a zombie in a George A. Romero movie, so again, no judgement here if you’re a touch confused about it all.

With all that in mind, we present the following clip of the Love Island contestants summarising the whole Brexit thing in about 45 seconds without any further comment, expect to say that it may well live up to its billing as “the greatest piece of TV for 2018.”

Er, enjoy?
