Ends Meet

A great time for Irish telly.

RTÉ’s first ever animated series designed for adults rather than children is airing on the national broadcaster on Monday evening.

Ends Meet, which premieres on Monday night, follows three generations of men living under one roof in a small North Dublin suburb.

Directed by Mark Baldwin and Gareth Lyons, the brilliant series features Seán Og the little fella, his unemployed Da Beezer and Tony the (great) Grandda.

The series covers a wide range of topics, from poverty to feminism, all through a humorous cartoon lense with unique Irish perspective.

The show is produced by Ruth Carter of Blue Ink Films and Niamh Herrity of Pink Kong Studios with Animation Direction from Gareth Lyons of Blue Ink Films and Aoife Doyle of Pink Kong Studios.

The new animation also introduces new comedy talents Sean Fitzgerald, Brian Maher, Kristina Collender, Natalie Baldwin and Luke Farrell who along with Mark Baldwin provide the voices of the many many characters that fill up the Abbeydale streets. All boasting original music from composer Luke Farrell.

The first series features twelve episodes, all set to air on Monday nights over the next twelve weeks. For snippets of what’s in store, check out clips of the upcoming show right here.

Ends Meet airs on RTÉ 2 on Monday, 12 February at 11.30pm.
