“I’m the one they should be scared of.”
The first trailer for Birds of Prey, or to give it its full title Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of one Harley Quinn, has arrived at long last.
Although Suicide Squad was a bit crap (that’s us being kind), you could make the case that Margot Robbie’s portrayal of Harley Quinn was one of the highlights of the movie.
Her scenes with Jared Leto’s Joker were interesting at least, but as this trailer states, her and Joker are done, and she’s looking for a new challenge.
With the help of three other female superheros, the gang of misfits and outcasts attempt to come together to save the life of little girl Cassandra Cain.
The cast is quite a strong one, with the movie starring Margot Robbie, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jurnee Smollet-Bell, Rosie Perez, Chris Messina, Ella Jay Basco, Ali Wong and Ewan McGregor.
The film is written by Christina Hodson (Bumblebee, and the upcoming big screen version of Batgirl), and directed by Cathy Yan (Dead Pigs).
