What A Character: Here’s why Ari Gold from Entourage is a TV great

There's certain TV characters that become so engrained in pop-culture that they seem to take on a life of their own. Every week, we'll be taking a look at some of the best ones and what it is that makes them so special. This week we're focusing on a man that's the biggest player in Hollywood, Entourage's super-agent Ari Gold. In three words, he's: Resourceful, hilarious, winner. Why he's a TV great : While we've never been to Hollywood, we imagine that Tinseltown is a place that's run by sharks, liars and suits. Ari Gold is all of these but he's cleverer, tougher and more loyal than every single other agent combined. It's clear that Ari loves his prize asset, Hollywood golden-boy Vincent Chase, but he still clashes with Vince's manager and best friend E. Entourage has some classic one-liners, gorgeous women and a gorgeous locations but it's the dynamic between these friends that makes the show work. Ari is the stand-out character because he doesn't give a s**t about anyone else apart from his family, Vince and his mate. We can't forget Lloyd also. Angry, smart, smooth, bold, tough, fearless, reckless, loyal and funny - simply put - Ari is the king because he gets things done.
