The Young Offenders is looking to cast a newborn boy or girl for a role in the show

Paul Moore

The Young offenders Season 2

Know any parents that might be interested?

Throughout the history of The Young Offenders, we’ve constantly seen the lads in some odd situations.

Of course, we were introduced to Conor and Jock as they cycled through Cork in the pursuit of a missing bale of cocaine but the TV adaptation has also seen the two in some strange situations.

A full frontal granny, stolen tuna, a wake for a fridge, a hijacked bus, and a starring role in Robert Sheehan’s new film are just some of the craic that the lads have been having, but in terms of being out of their depth, nothing can prepare Jock (Chris Walley) for his next role, fatherhood.

As we learned in the first season, it seems that he’s about to have a child with Siobhan (Jennifer Barry) and we reckon the latest casting call from the producers of the show is looking to fill that role.

In terms of the official posting, it states that the show is “currently casting for a newborn baby boy or girl for filming on Thursday, 4 July.”

Here are the criteria for those interested in applying;  1) Must be flexibly available in case of schedule change, 2) Parent / Guardian must have their own transport.

The job is paid and more details can be found here.

Who knows, maybe your child could be more famous than the baby from The Snapper?

Best of luck with the application.
