J.J. Abrams asks people to stop leaking photos from Star Wars set… by leaking photo from Star Wars set

The Funny is strong with this one…

Film sets are often plagued with major breaches of security, as excited fans go out of their way to get their dirty, grubby hands on leaked photos, protected plot twists and secretive set designs. In fact, the bigger the film, the bigger the risk of top secret information slipping out.

Poor J.J. Abrams, director of the eagerly-anticipated Episode VII of the Star Wars saga, has now responded brilliantly to those who have been smuggling out just such classified info from the set of his current film set.

In fact, “smuggling out” is the perfect term to use, as the photo in question surrounds the possibility of the return of Han Solo’s fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy, the Millennium Falcon.

Even better is the fact that Abrams’ witty note – which says “I wish people would stop leaking photos from Episode VII and making ridiculous claims that the Millennium Falcon is in the movie” – has actually been placed on top of the famous Dejarik table which is situated inside… you guessed it… the Millennium Falcon. That’s right Force fans, it’s the holographic chess table that Chewbacca and R2-D2 play on in Star Wars: A New Hope.

Well played Mr Abrams, well played.

And here’s the iconic table in question… “Let the Wookie win”

H/T to Mashable.
