Get your money back, folks.
We hate to dredge up the past like this because we know so many of you never want to hear the words “Garth Brooks” and “Croke Park” ever again.
BUT, it turns out there’s more than €120,000 worth of tickets for those gigs at GAA HQ that still haven’t been refunded.
The Irish Times say of the 400,000 tickets sold, up to 2,000 people still haven’t contact Ticketmaster to get their money back for the concerts that never happened.
We suspect there are a number of reasons for this:
People think the tickets will gain value, become a collectors item in 20 years time and then they can cash in.
People still haven’t given up hope that the gigs might happen and are refusing, despite family interventions, to give back the tickets.
People are just too God damn lazy to go to the bother of getting the refund.
It’s probably the latter, isn’t it?
If you haven’t got a refund, please contact Ticketmaster and have a nice night out for yourself.
