The singer is recovering from serious injuries received in a bike accident in New York.

Any possible U2 world tour next week is likely to be delayed as Bono recovers from serious injuries incurred in a bike crash in Manhattan.

The singer had to undergo five hours of surgery to arm and face injuries after suffering multiple fractures.

He was trying to avoid another cyclist in Central Park.

“The injuries will take at least three months to recover,” a source told the Sunday Independent.

“Bono plays guitar a lot, and his arm and shoulder will need extensive physiotherapy if he is going to be ready for the tour. It all depends now on how quickly he can recover.”

U2 are expected to announce a massive stadium show in Dublin next year in either Croke Park 0r the Aviva Stadium.
