Bookies are slashing odds on Oasis reuniting and playing Slane

Oasis reunion

Feeling Supersonic.

Much like that absolutely hilarious and shambolic performance at Whisky A Go Go when every single member of Oasis snorted crystal meth and were playing five different songs at the same time, it appears that the Gallagher brothers are reading from very different sheets when it comes to talk about a reunion.

While Liam has previously said that he’s “ready, my bags are packed” for an Oasis reunion, our kid has also distanced himself from that chat too.

After receiving a Mercury Award nomination for his latest effort with The High Flying Birds, Noel Gallagher is probably not in a rush to get back with Oasis but he has also provided some positive news on the band reforming.

Then again, he has also called Liam a twat. Those reunion rumours will live forever.

Simply put, the Gallagher brothers really know how to play the game and keep their names in the press, but there’s a cliche that the bookies are rarely wrong too.

On that note, the odds of an Oasis reunion to headline Slane in 2020 have been slashed.

Having previously played in Meath back in 1995 – more about that iconic gig hereBoylesports have slashed odds on the Brit Pop icons playing Slane in 2020.

The group also played at the iconic venue in 2009, shortly before their acrimonious end at Rock En Seine in Paris.

As for the latest rumours, a spokesperson for the bookies said: “A Summer 2019 gig at Slane would coincide with the 25 anniversary of the release of the first Oasis album but given the sibling rivalry in recent years, it’s only a Definite Maybe at this stage at 5/1.We actually have them at half that price to headline in 2020 and the punters seem to believe that is a more realistic timescale for a thawing in relations.”

Granted, we’re taking any talk of an Oasis reunion with a massive pinch of salt but if the two lads stop looking back in anger and actually talk tonight, we could be seeing the rock ‘n roll stars back together.

Now that would have us feeling supersonic?

D’you know what I mean?
