Born in the U.S.A…. but pint-chugger Springsteen still gets his very own giant Irish passport

We want the man to be our dad/uncle/wife/anything. Please.

Eoghan Doherty

In case you were camped under a rock for the week, or haven’t had full use of all of your senses for some silly reason, Bruce Springsteen has been touring Ireland and putting us younger, lesser mortals to shame with his incredible energetic and enthusiastic performances.

JOE’s got a stitch just writing about the man who clearly drinks from the fabled Fountain of Youth.

That’s not all he drinks though as this brilliant video posted by Caroline Murphy below shows.

The American rock singer-songwriter played to over 40,000 fans in Páirc Uí Chaoimh last night but, while gigging in Limerick earlier this week, The Boss impressively downed a pint of beer in one, chatted to the crowd about his Irish roots (the O’Hagans and McNicholas ancestors to be exact) and was even granted his very own giant Irish passport. Maybe they got it from the Irish EmBossy?

Not bad for a 63-year-old who was, ahem, Born In The U.S.A.

Although that gargantuan passport is going to be an absolute nightmare to get through the Ryanair hand luggage restrictions.

Check out the brilliant pictures below via Jimi’s Barber Shop and the clip too.

Simply put, the man is a legend:
