Britney Spears and Colin Farrell briefly dated in 2003.

Did you know that Colin Farrell and Britney Spears were once a thing?

Now you do! And Spears is ready to tell the whole story of their “passionate” fling in her own words.

In her much-publicised new memoir The Woman In Me, the pop princess compares their time as a couple to a “street fight,” stating that they were “all over each other.”

In the passage, obtained by Time, Spears says she was set up with the recent Irish Oscar-nominee by a “club promoter friend,” marking the start of their two-week romance back in 2003.

“Brawl is the only word for it. We were all over each other, grappling so passionately it was like we were in a street fight,” she writes in the book.

Spears also recalls attending the premiere of Farrell’s movie The Recruit, in which the actor co-starred opposite Al Pacino.

At the event, however, Farrell denied he and Spears were dating when asked by reporters.

“We’re not dating. She’s a sweet, sweet girl. There’s nothing going on – just mates,” he said at the time.

The ‘Toxic’ singer reportedly then left the premiere after the paparazzi were gone.

Later that same year, Spears told W Magazine that her and Farrell’s time together was “nothing serious,” though she did confess to kissing him – calling him “so hot”.

In her memoir, the pop star writes that at the time she started seeing the Irish actor, she was still reeling from her very public break-up with Justin Timberlake.

“As I had before when I’d felt too attached to a man, I tried to convince myself in every way that it was not a big deal, that we were just having fun, that in this case, I was vulnerable because I wasn’t over Justin yet,” she confesses.

Making the situation worse was that Timberlake was, Spears alleges, making the most of being single and “slept with six or seven girls” in the weeks after they called it quits.
