WATCH: Spine-tingling fan footage of Coldplay performing ‘Fix You’ at Croke Park

"Lights will guide you home..."

Fix You

This performance of ‘Fix You’ is quite something.

Of all the 23 songs on Coldplay’s set list on Saturday night, few tracks will have been anticipated as much as ‘Fix You’ one of the band’s best-known anthems from the 2005 album, X&Y.

Like many Coldplay songs, it’s perfect for a big stage in a big setting and in Ireland, stages and settings don’t come much bigger than in Croke Park.

Despite guitarist Jonny Buckland getting hit with a beer thrown from the audience, Chris Martin and company put on a show that was widely lauded by those in attendance, with one wheelchair-bound Irish fan even joining Martin on stage for a song at one point.

That was one of many highlights of one of the Irish gigs of the year so far, as was the performance of ‘Fix You’ as can be seen in the incredibly high-quality footage recorded by JOE reader Ross Byrne below.

Sure, there might be a note or two out of place amongst the voices singing in the crowd, but the light show, the atmosphere and the interaction between band and audience looked like a sight to behold.

It didn’t look too bad from the skies either.

When can you come back to Ireland, lads?
