Safe to say this is going to be one of the most popular editions of the Carpool Karaoke series to date.
Ed Sheeran, it’s fair to say, is a man that divides opinion.
A lot of people, particularly in Ireland, absolutely love him, while there are some
who think that his “cupboard of ideas isn't so much bare as smashed up and tossed on the fire”.
Well, that was just one man’s opinion, but nice chap though he undoubtedly seems to be, there are certainly others who would share similar sentiments about the singer-songwriter when it comes to his musical output.
Even if you’re not one of Ed’s fans, you can’t possibly deny the extent of his influence around the world and will probably agree that there will be a lot of interest in his appearance on Carpool Karaoke next week.
Sheeran will be one of number of high-profile British guests (Harry Styles and David Beckham amongst others) making an appearance as James Corden brings his Late Late Show to London next week and by the looks of things, there was no holding back by either party when they belted out some of Ed’s most famous tunes on the road lately.
