Fianna Fáil councillor blesses us with “the best album released in 2017”

Carlsberg don’t do albums.

Everyone’s favourite Fianna Fáil councillor, Trevor Gilligan has given “birth” to something special.

After only having released his festive single, ‘Christmas Kiss’ on 14 December, the political synth-maestro returns with helloWorld, and it really is something to behold.

“It gives me great pleasure to announce the birth of my 1st full studio album”, Gilligan said in the press release.

“helloWorld is a great, all-round album. It has everything; Catchy tunes and simple lyrics backed up with tight composition and structure. Some of these songs have been written over 10 years ago. These songs are now a chapter of my life I can finally close.

“I believe it is unquestionably the best album released in 2017. Most albums I have listened to have maybe 1 or 2 decent tracks, with the rest being album fillers. It’s just wrong. If someone takes time out to listen to helloWorld, it’s only fair that I deliver the best quality. Carlsberg don’t do albums, but if they did, they would probably release helloWorld.”

Included on helloWorld are such classics as his submission for the Eurovision song contest, ‘Keep You Warm’, ‘Christmas Kiss’ and ‘Addicted 2U’, which has led some to conclude that he is Clondalkin’s Calvin Harris.

He has also graced us with two new bangers, ‘Attn:’ and the spectacular ‘Making Babies’, which tells of “one hundred thousand million little children dropping from the sky”.

‘helloWorld’ is now streaming on Spotify and YouTube.
