Foo Fighters’ new documentary ‘Sonic Highways’ will air on BBC4 and here’s a taste of their new tunes

Good news for all you Footos, Footies, Fooers, Fooies or just fans of the band...

Good news for all you Footos, Footies, Fooers, Fooies fans of the band…

JOE are big fans of the Foo Fighters and their leading/nicest man in the world Dave Grohl so naturally we’re very excited about their new album and its accompanying documentary.

The band’s eight album ‘Sonic Highways’ will be released on November 10 and it’s unique because the band have recorded each song from it in a different American state. The documentary will chronicle the Foos’ episodic journey on the road in a different city and studio.

Over the course of the series, Foo Fighters will visit Austin, Chicago, Los Angeles, Nashville, New Orleans, Seattle and Washington DC and New York. Each episode ends with the band performing the track that they created in each of the cities.

The show will start on BBC Four on Sunday, October 26 and the eight episode series will then be split between BBC Four and BBC iPlayer, with episodes three to six available exclusively online. The final two episodes will then be shown on BBC Four.

We really liked parts of Grohl’s first directorial feature length documentary ‘Sound City’ even if it did turn into the ‘look at how many famous people Dave Grohl knows’ show.

The Foos are usually excellent when a camera is placed in front of them,  check out the bands previous documentary Back and Forth if you get a chance.

So, who wants to hear a sneak peak of what the lads have been getting up to in the studio? Their new track Outside starts at the 2:02 mark here.

Also, “One last thing before I quit, I never wanted any more than I could fit into my head. I still remember every single word you said and all the s#*t that somehow came along with it, still, there’s one thing that comforts me since I was always caged and now I’m freeeeeeeeeeeeeee….”.
