Those lads are ‘Addicted to Progress’
JOE always loves to see an Irish band do well and The Coronas are certainly on an upwards swing. The last few years has seen the band; play the Olympia five nights in a row, headline the O2 and most recently perform to a sold out crowd at Kilmainham but there is further reason to celebrate today.
Life just keeps getting better for Danny O’Reilly and the lads with news that they have just been signed to Island Records, one of the biggest record labels in the world. The band shared their good news on Ryan Tubridy’s 2fm show this morning…
Huge congrats to @TheCoronas who just announced on @Tubridy2FM that they’ve been signed to major record label @IslandRecords G’wan the lads!

The Coronas were originally signed to their own independent record label 3ú Records but this news is a massive boost to the Dublin rockers. We imagine the four lads are quietly pleased with themselves, now that their name is alongside some of Island’s other signed acts like Snow Patrol, U2, Mumford & Sons, The Killers and Disclosure.
The history of Island Records also reads like a who’s who of musical legends; Bob Dylan, The Pogues, Nick Drake, Morrissey, Bob Marley and erm Hanson.
If that wasn’t enough good news for all you Coronas fans then you can expect their new album in September. JOE would like to say a big congratulations lads, well earned.
