You really have to give it to Kendrick Lamar because aside from being one of the most gifted musicians alive, the man just doesn’t stop.
Last year, the seven-time Grammy Award winner toured on the back of his excellent 2015 record , To Pimp a Butterfly, and he also treated us to a new collection album, untitled unmastered.
Oh yeah, Time magazine also named him as one of the 100 most influential people in the world. Not a bad 12 months.
If you’re looking for some extra cheer on this long weekend, the California hip hop artists has just the thing for you because he has just released his fourth studio album, DAMN.
The record features collaborations and contributions by the likes of Rihanna, U2, Zacari, Mike WiLL Made-It, BADBADNOTGOOD, the Alchemist, DJ Dahi, “J. Blake,” Sounwave, and countless others.
While we won’t ruin the lyrics for you, it’s fair to say that Kendrick is angry as he takes aim at Fox News, bankers, the judicial system and the police.
Granted, it’s still only after being released, but it has already made a really strong impression.
